The second commandment clearly prohibits the worshipping of statues for this reason, that God is jealous. This article is based on Exodus 20:4-6, and its purpose is to understand the meaning of God’s jealousy with respect to the worship of idols and its implications in the lives of believers. Now, the summary of this article is firstly: the jealousy of God in respect to idolatry says that God cannot be represented in any shape or form whatsoever because the jealousy of God says that He is a God who is Holy.
